Founded by Patti McGauley in 2006, we are a
local organic gardening club in Polk County for those who want to learn to grow their
own produce in order to enjoy the benefits of fresh seasonal veggies,
fruits, nuts & herbs.
To that end we have
joined together to begin "growing" our soil. "First you grow the soil & the
plants will come"
Local organic farmers & ranchers are joining our ranks. At our farmers
markets members can buy & sell their produce and organic wares, filling a much-needed
niche for available fresh local organic produce, free range eggs, organic grass
fed beef, soap, raw milk, etc.

Anyone who wants to learn to grow or buy bigger, better, sweeter produce
(including these carambolas photographed in Patti's backyard the afternoon of our
first meeting) and learn about living green --welcome!
